Kupuna Assistance

Kupuna Kare is a grass roots volunteer group to assist Hawaii’s elderly and disabled in COVID-19 Crisis in providing non-emergency services such as grocery shopping, simple errands and take-out food delivery.

Our Kupuna  is a community initiative project started by the team behind Hawaii VA Loans and RISEHI Collective. Their mission is to connect our kupuna with sponsors who are willing to getting groceries, medication and necessary supplies to our kupuna so they can stay home while the COVID-19 outbreak passes.

Maui County Office on Aging is available to help with referrals to different agencies depending on your specific needs. Call (808) 270-7774 or visit their website:

Kupuna Care program is a State of Hawaii-funded program that provides community-based long-term care services.  It is intended to provide in-home services to impaired elders who fall in the "gap group." These are elders who do not qualify for other government programs and do not have private assistance to help.
